This time of year I would have to say the Signature Room also. 95th Floor hancock building. In the winter the skies are usually clear at night and you can see all the lights. Very romantic. Maybe catch a Blue Man group show before or afterwards. Very good also for a night out.

Signature Room on the 95th in the Hancock building is my personal favorite. It's also quite nice for brunch.

I think that Geja's Cafe on Armitage is the most romantic restaurant in the city. Fondue is inherently sexy... you can feed your date without any funny looks... and Geja's has live flamenco music, a great wine list, and dark, private seating, which make it all the better. Here's the website: http://www.gejascafe.com/HOME.htm

Have a great evening!

You might like Cafe Vinci on Halsted. And by the way, that's rather nice of you. He should be thinking of doing something nice for you too....

I like Geja's too - very fine -- you really need reservations for that place.
