You should definitely try Shaw's Crab House.
I went there with a large group and the service was still great. The waiters are very attentive and friendly.
You have to try their oysters...it's to die for!

Dover Straights in Hoffman Estates is THE best. A little drive from downtown, maybe 25 minutes, but worth it!

The Half Shell is the place to go - last time I was there is was off diversey (north side) just east of orchard = I thinks it's cash only = nothing fancy = great food

You have so many good choices and bad. I like the fact that you can choose off the Internet with actual virtual tours of the place and a menu is listed.
